This one-day course teaches students proper handgun handling and safety. Our students receive hands-on classroom and gun range instruction. Our NRA instructors will train and confirm your knowledge and application of:
- gun safety rules;
- range protocol;
- proper gun handling, loading/unloading procedures;
- shooting positions & fundamentals;
- pistol selection/storage;
- and pistol cleaning. This course includes an in class
- gun range electronic simulation to prepare you for live fire.
If you select to seek (8) live-fire exercises and final shooting qualification. You will need: (1) Govt. ID; (2) an UNLOADED concealable handgun and owner’s manual; and (3) a 50-round box of full metal jacket ammunition. You may bring your UNLOADED weapon to the firing range in a pistol case.
Live firearms and ammunition are NOT allowed in the classroom. Unless noted, the course cost does NOT include: gun range admission fee, targets, handgun rentals or ammunition.
